The “need for speed” is changing the way organizations think and this is impacting their demand for data.  Today’s customers require more real-time insight into what is happening in their organization and why. For years, Presto has been a leader in broadening an organizations view of its data by delivering real-time visualizations in combination with historical data.  Presto’s foundation has recently been fortified with the addition of analytics and BigMemory.  End users are now enabled with more advanced analytical capabilities reducing the time needed to discover patterns and problems.

Gone are the days of small datasets aggregated specifically for the end-user dashboard.  By loading key datasets into BigMemory, Presto dashboards can facilitate drill down into larger and more diverse datasets with the ability to apply advanced analytics capabilities.  And this analysis can be done in milliseconds now because the data is held in-memory. Exposing analytics functions to the consumer puts more power into the hands of the key decision makers.  Data in BigMemory is used to compliment existing datasets already available on the dashboard to continue providing the much needed business context.  Presto dashboards alleviate pressure on IT by enabling business users. Business users are able to accelerate their decision-making process using self-service tools such as Presto with BigMemory.

The key benefits include:

  • Data in existing databases can be loaded into BigMemory and that combined visually with other enterprise data delivers more intelligence to the user community
  • The user community is able to work autonomously by querying data in BigMemory and getting answers FAST
  • The user community can extend Presto’s analytics language with customized analytics functions
